20/12/2025

On 20 December 2025, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) hosted a welcoming event for the second cohort of the IMBA Programme in a formal, warm, and inspiring atmosphere. The event marked the successful continuation of the inaugural cohort and demonstrated UEH’s strong commitment to delivering internationally recognised postgraduate programmes in Vietnam, under the professional and effective management of the Institute of Business Research and with strategic partnership from Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

Remarks by Prof. Vo Xuan Vinh

The event was held in a dignified and inspirational setting, with the participation of faculty members, programme management teams from both institutions, and outstanding new participants of the cohort. It also reflected the careful preparation of the organising team and the serious, enthusiastic learning spirit of the participants. This marks a positive starting point for the 15 months academic journey ahead, challenging yet highly meaningful.

IMBA Programme Inauguration Ceremony – Cohort 2

The IMBA Programme at UEH is designed in accordance with international standards, aiming to equip participants with modern, in-depth, and up-to-date knowledge in business administration within a globalised context. Throughout the programme, participants will complete 17 courses, ranging from foundational subjects to advanced specialisations, delivered by both domestic and international faculty members, with a significant proportion of the content taught by lecturers from NTU.

Beyond theoretical knowledge, the programme strongly emphasises practical application through research activities, case discussions, real-world projects, and opportunities for collaboration with experts in Vietnam. This approach enables participants not only to strengthen their professional expertise but also to broaden their perspectives on socio-economic dynamics and the business environment in one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic markets.

Notably, IMBA has been identified as one of the strategic priorities of the Institute of Business Research, UEH, for the 2025 - 2030 period, aligning with the University’s strong orientation towards the internationalisation of postgraduate education. Alongside IMBA, the Institute also manages several high-quality joint programmes in partnership with leading universities in the United Kingdom, including Lincoln, Leicester, and Huddersfield. These collaborations have contributed to enhancing training quality, expanding international learning and research opportunities for participants, and affirming UEH’s extensive academic partnerships.

IMBA is not only a rigorous academic programme but also a professional learning community where participants can expand their networks, share knowledge, develop leadership mindsets, and build a solid foundation for long-term career advancement. The welcoming event for the second IMBA cohort is not only a milestone marking the beginning of a new learning journey but also a testament to UEH’s reputation, training quality, international vision, and the Institute of Business Research’s capability in managing world-class joint programmes.

With a strong academic foundation, a reputable teaching team, modern training methodologies, and the determination of its participants, the IMBA Programme is expected to continue spreading knowledge and values, contributing to the development of high-quality management professionals and enhancing UEH’s position on the global education map.
