Annual Asian Law and Economics Association Conference (AsLEA 2017)

On 22-23 June 2017, the 13th Annual Asian Law & Economics Association (AsLEA) Conference officially took place at 59C Nguyen Dinh Chieu Campus, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH).

Established in 2005, Annual Asian Law & Economics Association (AsLEA) is an international non-governmental organization. The President of the AsLEA is Professor Euston Quah of Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. The First AsLEA Conference was held at Seoul National University and the later annual conferences were held in Asian countries by the Association. The AsLEA's scientific journal, “Asian Journal of Law and Economics”, published in 2010.

This is the first time that the AsLEA Conference has been held in Vietnam with the participation of more than 70 law and economic experts and 06 leading speakers in the world. About 479 articles were submitted from all over the world to the conference, and about 60 best articles of them were selected for presentation at the conference. The articles covered a range of law and economic issues in the world, such as contract negotiation, law enforcement, trade and exchange rates, government and corporate policies, law inpacts, law and finance. After two days, the conference ended successfully and left a deep impression on the participants.
