UEH AND THE UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS LOWELL (USA) SIGN MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING: AFFIRMING COMMITMENT TO STRENGTHEN STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP

On February 9, 2026, at Campus A of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between UEH and the University of Massachusetts Lowell (UMass Lowell, USA) was held in a formal and cordial atmosphere. The event marks an important milestone in UEH’s strategy to expand its international partner network and to promote comprehensive academic collaboration between the two universities.

The ceremony was attended by leaders and representatives from both institutions. On the UEH side were: Assoc. Prof. Bui Quang Hung – UEH Interim President; Assoc. Prof. Pham Duong Phuong Thao – Deputy Head, Department of Research, Development and Global Engagement; Prof. Vo Xuan Vinh – Dean of the Institute of Business Research (IBR); Ms. Thai Thu Phuong – Department of Research, Development and Global Engagement. Representing UMass Lowell was Mr. John Feudo – Vice Chancellor for Global Engagement and Partnerships.

During the ceremony, representatives of both sides shared their expectations and strategic orientations for future cooperation, with a focus on expanding academic exchange, strengthening research collaboration, and developing international-standard training programs.

On behalf of UEH, Assoc. Prof. Bui Quang Hung extended a warm welcome to the delegation from UMass Lowell. He emphasized that the signing of this MOU demonstrates UEH’s strong commitment to its internationalization strategy and its long-term vision of becoming a sustainable, multidisciplinary university. The partnership with UMass Lowell is expected to contribute meaningfully to enhancing UEH’s academic quality, research capacity, and global presence.

Mr. John Feudo expressed his appreciation for UEH’s warm hospitality and highlighted the significant potential for cooperation between the two institutions. As the key unit spearheading international academic collaboration at UEH, Prof. Vo Xuan Vinh, Director of the Institute of Business Research, exchanged views with the UMass Lowell representative on potential areas for expanding joint research and training cooperation in the coming period. The discussions focused on developing high-quality programs that meet international standards and respond to the evolving needs of learners and society.
