PhD Program - University of Lincoln (UK)

1. Goals

The joint program between University of Lincoln, United Kingdom, and University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (UEH) aims to open doors for Vietnamese students to access international standard programs, with the training quality of one of the Top 20 UK Universities and save costs compared to full-time  students in the UK.

2. Specialization

The program currently includes the majors as follows:

- MPhil/PhD Accounting.

- MPhil/PhD Economics.

- MPhil/PhD Finance.

- MPhil/PhD Human Resource Management.

- MPhil/PhD Logistics Management.

- MPhil/PhD Management.

- MPhil/PhD Culture and Heritage Management.

- MPhil/PhDMarketing.

- MPhil/PhD Tourism.

3. Requirments:

The applicants have to meet the following criteria:

- Master's degree in a relevant subject or a closely related field of study of PhD degree.

- English proficiency: IELTS overall score of 6.5, or equivalent.

- Being accepted after interviews.

4. Duration:  3 years (Full-time) - 6 years (Part-time).

5. Program:

Students will be allocated at 02 supervisors from University of Lincoln , UK & the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam. Students are expected to work independently on their research projects under the advice and direction of the supervision team.

6. Degree: Philosophy degrees conferred by University of Lincoln, UK.

7. Annual enrolment: March - May - July - September - December.

PhD Program - University of Leicester (UK)

1. Goals

The collaborative program between the University of Leicester, United Kingdom, and the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (UEH) is designed to facilitate access for Vietnamese students to internationally accredited doctoral programs. This initiative aims to provide high-quality education from a leading UK institution, thereby offering a cost-effective alternative to full-time study in the United Kingdom.

2. Specialization

The program currently encompasses the following areas of specialization:

  • MPhil/PhD in Accounting
  • MPhil/PhD in Economics
  • MPhil/PhD in Finance
  • MPhil/PhD in Human Resource Management
  • MPhil/PhD in Logistics Management
  • MPhil/PhD in Management
  • MPhil/PhD in Culture and Heritage Management
  • MPhil/PhD in Marketing
  • MPhil/PhD in Tourism

3. Requirements

Applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

  • Possession of a Master's degree in a relevant discipline or a closely related field pertinent to the PhD program.
  • Demonstrated English proficiency, with an IELTS overall score of 6.5 or an equivalent assessment.
  • Successful acceptance following a formal interview.
  • Adherence to the entrance regulations established for the Leicester PhD program.

4. Duration

The program is structured to be completed in three years for full-time students and up to six years for part-time students.

5. Program Structure

Participants will be assigned two supervisors: one from the University of Leicester and one from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City. Students are expected to engage in independent research while receiving guidance and mentorship from their supervisory team.

6. Degree Conferred

Upon successful completion of the program, candidates will be awarded a Philosophy degree from the University of Leicester.

7. Annual Enrollment Periods

Enrollment occurs annually in March, May, July, September, and December.
