Welcome world-class professors to our academic committee at IBR-UEH

University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) and Institute of Business Research (IBR) warmly welcome to corporate with Prof. Ali Emrouznejad, Prof. Muhammad Shahbaz and Assoc. Prof. Farhad Taghizadeh-Hesary as academic committee members.

Ali Emrouznejad is a Professor and Chair in Business Analytics at Aston Business School, UK. His research interests focus on performance measurement and management, efficiency and productivity analysis as well as data mining and big data. He has published over 175 articles in top-ranked journals and authored many books of famous publishers such as CRC Taylor & Francis, Springer and IGI Global. Moreover, Prof Emrouznejad is also an official editor of Annals of Operations Research, a member of the editorial board of several other scientific journals including Journal of Operations Research Society, Euro Journal of Decision Process, Journal of Medical Systems and International Journal of Energy Management Sector.

Muhammad Shahbaz is currently a Professor and Chair of Energy and Sustainable Development at Montpellier Business School in France. His research areas revolve around different fields such as applied economics, energy and environment economics, development economics and financial economics. He has published more than 266 articles in top-ranked journals and nearly 60 lectures published at major conferences in France and internationally. With regard to his experience for many years, Professor Muhammad Shahbaz is a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Financial Markets and Institutions & Money Emerging Markets Review.

Assoc. Prof. Farhad Taghizadeh-Hesary is an associate professor of economics at Tokai University in Japan and a visiting professor at Keio University, Japan. Presently, he is also a visiting professor at Chiang Mai University (Thailand), a distinguished research fellow and an external scientific member at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam). His research interests mainly focus on energy economics, energy policy, green finance, small and medium-sized enterprises finance, monetary policy, banking, especially Asian and Japanese economy. His research credits include authoring more than 100 academic journal papers, book chapters and the editing of seven books. Currently, he is serving as an associate editor of prestigious journals om the world such as Finance Research Letters (SSCI), Singapore Economic Review (SSCI) and an editor of Cogent Business & Management (Taylor & Francis, Scopus).

This is such an honor and a solid step of UEH to assert a higher position in the Asia QS Ranking, thereby create a foundation to improve the academic reputation of the school in the world. This collaboration with IBR is considered as a bridge to increase the academic quality of the research papers and contribute to the success of expanding the science environment for researchers at UEH. In addition, this is an opportunity to promote research articles that are recognized in many international journals, helping UEH maintain its position as the leader in the international publication related to economics and business in Vietnam.
