International Conference on Business and Finance 2020
To continue creating an academic forum with high quality and scale for Vietnamese and international scholars in general, the Institute of Business Research continued to chair the "International Conference on Business and Finance 2020", which took place on August 28, 2020, at Campus B of University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City.
This conference covered a variety of economic fields and was an opportunity for domestic and foreign scholars to present new research, connect and share research ideas in areas of interest. In 2019, UEH also organized many large seminars with the participation of leading scientists at home and abroad. The Institute of Business Research was honored to be assigned by UEH to be the organizer of these events. Although there are still many difficulties on few human resources and limited funding, all members and collaborators of the Institute of Business Research have put ceaseless efforts and worked hard to organize these seminars successfully and made a meaningful contribution.
This success, in addition to the tireless dedication of the faculty and scholars of the Institute of Business Research, there was also the volunteer in conducting research of collaborators and the support from the Board of Directors, leaders, and specialists of the departments. The UEH committee is an important source of encouragement for the Institute. The Institute of Business Research would like to sincerely thank the teachers who have facilitated and supported the Institute to successfully carry out and completed our responsibilities.

The conference welcomed the participation of six keynote speakers: Professor Peter Morgan - University of Sydney (Australia), Professor. Sung Y. Park - Chung-Ang University (Korea), Associate Professor Farhad Taghizadeh-Hesary - Tokai University (Japan), Professor Jeong-Yoo Kim - Kyung Hee University (Korea), Associate Professor Muhammad Ali Nasir - Leeds Beckett University (United Kingdom), and Associate Professor Aviral Tiwari - University of Montpellier (France).
On the UEH side, there was virtual attendance of Professor Nguyen Dong Phong - Chairman of the School Council, Professor Nguyen Trong Hoai - Vice President, Professor Su Dinh Thanh – Chief Editor of Asian Business and Economic Research Journal, and Dr. Bui Quang Hung - Head of Human Resources Department. Attending in-person at the Conference were Dr. Tran Mai Dong - Head of Scientific Management - International Cooperation Department; Associate Professor Ho Viet Tien - Director of the Graduate Training Institute; Associate Professor Tu Van Binh - Deputy Director of the Institute of Graduate Training; Dr. Nguyen Phong Nguyen - Deputy Head of the Department of Scientific Management - International Cooperation; Professor Vo Xuan Vinh - Director of Business Research Institute, leaders of units under UEH. The conference attracted more than 200 leading domestic and international experts and many international researchers, lecturers, and Ph.D. students.
The ICBF International Conference 2020 is jointly accompanied and sponsored by prestigious ISI/Scopus journals such as Emerging Markets Finance and Trade (ISI) Journal of Economic Development (JED) - Scopus, Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Finance (Elsevier) - Scopus, Grade A ABDC, Asian Journal of Law and Economics (De Gruyter Publisher) - ISI-ESCI, Book Series: Vietnam and the Global Economy, published by World Scientific Publisher, Singapore. Keynote speakers presenting their research topics
The International Conference on Business and Finance 2020 attracted more than 230 submissions. Through the editorial and peer review committee, 150 papers were accepted, 70 papers were presented at the conference, and 150 articles were included in the proceeding.
The seminar was organized with 16 parallel sessions and 1 plenary session in the fields of administration, economics, international business, finance - banking, marketing, tourism, etc.

ICBF Conference 2020 is a channel for academic contributions from reputable authors, contributing to solving diverse ongoing issues in the field of economics and helping to improve research quality to promote international publication opportunities for domestic and foreign scholars. Encountering many challenges from the Covid-19 pandemic, the ICBF still took place, offered in both online and offline formats, and demonstrated UEH's great efforts in organizing research and academic exchange activities effectively.
