Introduction to the 35th Annual Conference of the Asian Finance Association

The 31st "Asian Finance Association Annual Meeting" was held at UEH, featuring the participation of nearly 300 speakers and scholars, including approximately 250 international delegates. This large-scale conference is organized annually at universities in the Asia-Pacific region. In 2019, UEH had the honor of hosting the conference, marking the first time an international conference of the Asian Finance Association took place in Vietnam.
Building on the success of the ASIAN FA 2019 international conference, on June 26-27, 2023, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City will collaborate with the Asian Finance Association to organize the ASIAN FA 2023 international conference. The objective is to create opportunities for researchers, scholars, and editors of prestigious journals worldwide in the field of finance to exchange research experiences and present their latest findings to the academic community both domestically and internationally. At the conference, keynote speakers will address research topics of significant interest to the academic community and share experiences in empirical and quantitative research centered around finance.
The participation of two renowned journals, the International Review of Finance (published by Wiley) and the Pacific Basin Finance Journal (published by Elsevier), along with the Journal of Asian Business and Economic Studies (JABES), will facilitate the publication of conference papers. The conference is expected to attract researchers and scholars from educational and research institutions both within and outside the country. Authors are encouraged to submit abstracts in English across all areas of finance, including asset pricing, corporate finance, corporate governance, derivatives, financial crises, financial intermediation, international finance, sustainable finance, and market microstructure.
The organizing committee will award 10 Best Paper Awards to both international and domestic authors who present innovative ideas in the field of finance.
