The Institute of Business Research attended the International Conference of the Asian Economic Association - AEP 2025

On March 26 - 27, 2025, the AEP (Asian Economic Panel - Asian Economic Association) international conference took place successfully at Xiamen University, Xiamen City, China. The conference brought together many leading researchers, scholars and experts in the field of economics and management from many other countries such as the US, Canada, Singapore, Korea, Japan, Australia and from many countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

Representing Vietnam, the delegation of the Institute of Business Research (Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics) includes Prof. Dr. Vo Xuan Vinh, MSc Le Tran Tuan Anh and other researchers who also attended this important event and made important contributions in in-depth discussion sessions and seminars.

The topic of the conference is the challenges of countries in the Asia Pacific region in 2025 and the coming years. In addition to discussing policies to develop the green economy, circular economy, and digital economy according to sustainable development trends, many other important issues affecting the economies of Asia-Pacific countries are discussed such as tensions in trade relations between the US and other countries, policies to limit technology exports, and many other developments in bilateral and multilateral economic relations of Asian countries.

As an active member of AEP, Prof.Dr. Vo Xuan Vinh participated in discussions on many economic and governance issues facing the region, from the impact of global economic and political fluctuations to corporate governance strategies in the digital era. His sharing at seminar sessions not only contributed scientific perspectives but also brought practical experiences from research in Vietnam and the region.

Professor Vinh said that the role of Asian countries has increased greatly in recent times, especially with the rise of many countries with large exports and investments in technology development and innovation. However, Asian countries in general and businesses in the Asia Pacific region in particular have also been facing many challenges in the coming time such as geopolitical tensions, technological development...

Countries in the region need to shake hands and promote trade and investment between countries in the region. Countries in the Asia-Pacific region need to take advantage of multilateral and bilateral trade and investment agreements for economic development. In addition, Asian countries also have policies to promote businesses in the region to thrive and become global enterprises.

 

The Asian Economic Association (AEP) was established and sponsored by the Center for Sustainable Development, Columbia University, USA; Korea Institute for International Economic Policy; United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) in New York, Paris, and Kuala Lumpur; Institute for Economic Research of ASEAN, East Asia and Indonesia. In particular, AEP is also currently the host organization of Asian Economic Papers, one of the prestigious economic journals, published by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Publishing House, USA (MIT Press).
