Green human resource management plays a critical role in promoting and achieving sustainable growth objectives for businesses and the economy. Aimed at sharing research on green human resource management and fostering collaboration among scientists, research institutes, educational institutions, and businesses, the Business Research Institute of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City is hosting a national scientific workshop on “Developing Human Resources and Promoting Green Investment Towards Sustainable Development Goals” on April 10, 2024, in collaboration with the University of Economics Nghe An, University of Economics Da Nang, and University of Economics Hue.
The workshop will feature numerous scientists, experts, and economic researchers from various universities, academies, and organizations across the country. The organizing committee has received 145 submissions, focusing on sustainable economic development, theoretical contributions to sustainable development goals, and lessons learned from educational institutions and businesses.
Sustainable development is becoming an inevitable trend and a strategic orientation for Vietnam in general, and for educational institutions and businesses in particular. Each profession and sector plays an essential role in ensuring a balance among the three factors: economic growth, social equity, and environmental protection. Sustainable development is currently a proactive approach for educational institutions and businesses.
Five reports will be presented at the workshop: (1) Human Resources for Digital Economic Development – Opportunities and Challenges; (2) Business Model Transformation Towards a Circular Economy Based on Digital Transformation in Da Nang Businesses; (3) Enhancing the Quality of Human Resources in State Agencies to Meet Sustainable Development in Nghe An Province; (4) Applying Circular Agriculture in Beef Cattle Farming to Contribute to Sustainable Green Growth in Vietnam; (5) Building Harmonious Labor Relations in FDI Enterprises in Thua Thien Hue Province.
