INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON BUSINESS AND FINANCE (ICBF)
1. Objectives
Designed to create an academic forum for lecturers, researchers, and PhD candidates to exchange, discuss, and share research aiming for international publication, the annual International Conference on Business and Finance (ICBF)—organized by the Institute of Business Research (IBR)—is considered one of the premier international academic events in Vietnam. The conference provides an opportunity for domestic and international scholars to present and discuss topics across economics, finance, business, accounting, business law, economic law, and related fields. Notably, accepted papers undergo a review process for potential publication in prestigious ISI/Scopus-indexed journals or international monograph series affiliated with the conference.
Each year, the conference attracts over 200 research submissions, with more than 100 papers accepted for publication in the proceedings and presentation at the event. It gathers renowned scholars from world-leading universities, including influential professors and experts.
ICBF is organized by the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) in co-organization with the University of Lincoln (UK), University of Huddersfield (UK), French-Vietnamese Center for Management Education (CFVG), and ISB; with sponsorship from Chung-Ang University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, Binh Duong University, and Thu Dau Mot University.

The International Conference on Business and Finance 2025 is scheduled for December 1–2, 2025, at Campus B, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (279 Nguyen Tri Phuong, Ward 5, District 10, HCMC). Topics cover Finance, Accounting, Business, Economic and Business Law, Tourism, Marketing, and related fields.

ICBF 2024
Held on August 8–9, 2024, ICBF 2024 attracted over 200 submissions, selecting about 80 high-quality papers for presentation across 7 plenary sessions and 40 parallel sessions. Topics spanned Business Administration, Finance, Management, Banking, Behavioral Finance, Accounting, Business, International Business, Financial Markets, Emerging Markets, International Trade, Marketing, Leadership, Public Governance, Economics, Law, and Tourism. “Best Paper Awards” were presented to outstanding submissions addressing high-impact research trends.
ICBF 2023
The International Conference on Business and Finance 2023 took place on September 28–29, 2023. ICBF 2023 attracted over 300 research papers from scholars across the globe, including the UK, France, Australia, the Netherlands, Finland, Spain, Portugal, Japan, South Korea, China, Taiwan, and the UAE. More than 90 high-quality papers were selected for presentation. Notably, the conference gathered keynote speakers who are professors from prestigious international universities and Editors-in-Chief of leading journals, alongside over 200 domestic and international scholars—particularly from developed nations such as the UK, US, Australia, Ireland, Japan, and South Korea. The event featured 7 plenary sessions with renowned scholars and journal editors, as well as 22 parallel sessions covering diverse topics in business and finance.
ICBF 2022
Held on August 25–26, 2022, at Campus B of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, ICBF 2022 adapted to digital transformation by offering online and hybrid formats with strong support from co-organizers, including ISB, CFVG, University of Leicester, and University of Lincoln (UK). The conference attracted over 300 submissions, with approximately 80 high-quality papers selected for presentation. It featured keynote presentations by distinguished professors from top global universities and was attended by over 200 domestic and international researchers, notably from the UK, US, Australia, Ireland, and South Korea. Participants included around 130 Vietnamese delegates and 70 foreign delegates.
ICBF 2021
The International Conference on Business and Finance 2021 was held on September 27–28, 2021, at Campus B, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, in both onsite and online formats. It drew over 200 scholars from countries such as the UK, US, Finland, Japan, and South Korea. The conference received more than 300 paper submissions, with nearly 100 accepted for presentation. The Scientific Committee awarded 6 “Best Paper Awards” along with several other honors. The program featured 24 parallel sessions with 100 presenters and 8 plenary sessions delivered by 10 distinguished scholars and journal editors-in-chief.
ICBF 2020
Held on August 28, 2020, at Campus B of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, ICBF 2020 received over 230 submissions. Following peer review, 150 papers were accepted, 70 were presented at the conference, and 150 were included in the proceedings. The event comprised 16 parallel sessions and 1 plenary session covering management, economics, international business, banking and finance, marketing, and tourism.
ICBF 2019
Taking place on August 22–23, 2019, ICBF 2019 marked a major milestone for IBR-UEH in fostering academic networks and expanding international publication opportunities for researchers. The conference attracted over 150 participants, including leading experts, faculty members, and PhD candidates. Out of 192 submitted papers, 114 were accepted, 77 were presented, and 37 were published in the proceedings. The conference included 3 parallel sessions and 1 plenary session, addressing key topics across business and finance.
