Time: June 26–27, 2023
Location: Campus A, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH)
The 31st Asian Finance Association Annual Meeting took place at UEH, attracting nearly 300 speakers and scholars, including approximately 250 international delegates. This is a large-scale annual conference hosted by leading universities in the Asia-Pacific region. In 2019, UEH was honored to host the conference, marking the first time an international conference of the Asian Finance Association was held in Vietnam.
Following the success of ASIAN FA 2019, UEH collaborated with the Asian Finance Association to organize the ASIAN FA 2023 International Conference on June 26–27, 2023. The event aimed to foster academic exchanges, facilitate discussion on research experiences among scientists, scholars, and editors-in-chief of prestigious global finance journals, and present the latest research findings to domestic and international academic communities. Keynote speakers presented trending research topics and shared insights on empirical and quantitative research methodologies centered around finance.
With the participation of world-renowned journals—including International Review of Finance (published by Wiley), Pacific-Basin Finance Journal (published by Elsevier), and the Journal of Asian Business and Economic Studies (JABES)—to consider submissions for publication, the conference attracted researchers and scholars from academic and research institutions worldwide. Authors were encouraged to submit English abstracts covering all areas of finance, asset pricing, corporate finance, corporate governance, derivatives, financial crises, financial intermediation, international finance, sustainable finance, and financial market microstructure.
The Organizing Committee presented 10 Best Paper Awards to international and domestic authors presenting innovative financial research ideas.
