Executive Assessment (EA)

Why Choose the Executive Assessment (EA)?

The Executive Assessment (EA) is a standardized admissions test introduced by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) in 2016. It is specifically designed for experienced professionals applying to graduate management programmes.

As a busy professional, balancing work, family, and other responsibilities often leaves limited time for extensive test preparation. Recognizing this, the EA is designed to assess the core competencies and practical skills you have developed throughout your professional career—capabilities that are essential for success in NTU’s International MBA (IMBA) programme.

Preparing for and completing the EA not only equips you for the academic rigour of the programme but also demonstrates your commitment to lifelong learning, personal growth, and readiness for graduate-level study.

How Should You Prepare for the Executive Assessment?

The EA evaluates higher-order reasoning skills across three key sections:

  • Integrated Reasoning: Assesses your ability to analyze and synthesize complex information from multiple data sources.
  • Verbal Reasoning: Measures reading comprehension, critical reasoning, and analytical thinking.
  • Quantitative Reasoning: Evaluates mathematical proficiency and quantitative problem-solving skills.

Preparing for the EA is more than simply taking an admissions test—it is an opportunity to demonstrate strategic thinking, sound decision-making, and leadership potential.

The Executive Assessment is a highly valid and reliable admissions tool that emphasizes practical business skills, helping maintain the academic quality and diversity of the programme’s participant cohort.
