Eligibility
Applicants must satisfy the following requirements:
Academic Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Master’s degree or an equivalent postgraduate qualification from a recognised institution.
Research Capability
Applicants are required to demonstrate their research potential by submitting a research proposal (2,000–3,000 words) that includes:
- Research title (maximum 15 words)
- Research background (750–1,000 words)
- Research objectives, research questions, and research focus (100–300 words)
- Proposed research methodology or theoretical framework (750–1,000 words)
- Personal reflection outlining relevant research experience and motivation (300–500 words)
- Conclusion (100–200 words)
- Proposed research timeline
- References
Applicants must also provide two academic reference letters from academics or researchers holding a doctoral degree (or equivalent).
English Language Proficiency
Applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency through one of the following qualifications (or an equivalent qualification accepted by the University):

Applicants who do not yet meet the English language requirement may receive a conditional offer. The required English language qualification must be submitted before enrolment in the programme.
Application Documents
Applicants are required to submit the following documents:
- Completed application form.
- Academic curriculum vitae (CV) with a recent photograph.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) in English.
- Two academic reference letters in English.
- Certified copies of:
- Bachelor’s and Master’s degree certificates and academic transcripts (translated into English where applicable);
- English language proficiency certificate;
- National ID card or passport.
- Three copies of the research proposal in English.
- A Personal Statement outlining:
- Motivation for pursuing the programme;
- Relevant academic and professional experience;
- Long-term career objectives and how the programme will support these goals.
- Two passport-sized photographs.
- Completed application checklist.
Applicants holding qualifications awarded by overseas institutions may also be required to provide official degree recognition in accordance with Vietnamese regulations.
Application Process
Applications are assessed through a selection process. Candidates are required to:
- Submit all required electronic application documents via the online application system.
- Submit the complete hard-copy application package to the programme office.
Application Fee
The application fee is VND 4,500,000, which covers both the application assessment and the admission interview.
