The International Conference on Business and Finance (ICBF) is an annual conference organized and hosted by the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and co-organized by the University of Leicester, United Kingdom.
The international conference provides an open platform for scholars and fellows worldwide to meet and share their recent researches, exchange ideas and information about new developments in business, management, and finance research.
This year, we are delighted to inform you that the ICBF 2021 will be held by online mode at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam, on September 27-28, 2021.

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS
Many of the speakers are professors from famous universities in the world (UK, France, Australia, Japan, Korea,...), besides, ICBF is also honored to have editor-in-chief, members, co-editor of ISI/Scopus journals and sponsors. Key ICBF’s speakers over the years are:
- Professor Daniel Ladley
He is Professor of Finance and Deputy Dean of the University of Leicester School of Business. He is a member of the executive committee of the International Finance and Banking Association and previously Director of the Leicester Institute of Finance. His research area focuses on behavioural and computational finance and he has published extensively on market microstructure and systemic risk.
- Professor Gary Campbell
He started giving lectures in the School of Business and Economics at Michigan Tech in 1982. He was in the team of establishing in the MS in Mineral Economics Program. He is also the Editor of Resources Policy. His researches are focused on the markets for rare earths and copper and at the social conflicts over opening and operating mines.
- Professor Muhammad Shahbaz
He is Professor of Economics at the Bejing Institute of Technology, China and Vistiting Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge, UK. His research focuses on the development, energy, environmental, and tourism economics. He is among the world’s top 10 authors in the Economics category as compiled by IDEAS, and among top 5 active researcher from developing countries as declared by David McKenzie (Chief Economist), World Bank.
- Professor Jeong-Yoo Kim
He is Professor of Economics at the Kyung Hee University, South Korea. He has published widely in various reputable journals. Professor Kim is also the editor of Asian Journal of Economics and Law. He is also a board member of the Asian Law and Economics Association.
- Professor Siong Hook Law
He is currently a Professor in the School of Business and Economics of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). He is an Editor, International Journal of Economics and Management Law. He has published more than 120 articles in refereed journals, including 50 in journals indexed by Web of Science (WoS) and 84 cited in Scopus.
- Professor Sung Y.Park
He is an associate professor of the School of Economics at the Chung-Ang University. He has published in a range of journals including Journal of Econometrics, Econometric Reviews, Journal of Empirical Finance, Journal of Economic Inequality, Economic Modelling, Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, International Journal of Forecasting,… He is currently the Editor of Journal of Economics Development.
- Assoc Prof Farhad T. Hesary
Associate Professor of Economics at Tokai University in Japan, and Visiting Professor at Keio University & Chiang Mai University. Grantee of the Excellent Young Researcher (LEADER) status from the Ministry of Education of Japan (MEXT). Editor of Cogent Business & Management. Associate Editor/board member of Singapore Economic Reviews, Global Finance Journal, Frontiers in Energy Research, Energy Efficiency. Author of more than 150 academic journal papers and book chapters and editor of 10 books.
- Assoc Prof Aviral Tiwari
He is an Associate Professor at the Rajagiri Business School, India. His main areas of research interest are macro and monetary economics, financial economics, econometrics, and energy environmental economics, and tourism. He is a Regional Editor-South-East Asia at Journal of Public Affairs, Senior Editor at International Journal of Emerging Markets, Topic Editor at Journal of Risk and Financial Management, Section Editor at IJEEP, IJEFI.
- Dr. Peter Morgan
He is Senior Consulting Economist and Vice Chair of Research at the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI). He has 23 years experience in the financial sector in Asia, most recently serving in Hong Kong as Chief Asia Economist for HSBC. His research interests are in macroeconomic policy and financial sector regulation, reform, financial development, financial inclusion, fintech, financial literacy and financial education.
- Assoc Prof Muhammad Ali Nasir
He is an Associate Professor in Economics and Finance at University of Huddersfield. His main areas of research interest are macro and monetary economics, financial economics, econometrics, and energy and environmental economics. He is guest editor of very reputable journals.
