ELIGIBILITY AND APPLICATION DOCUMENTS

Entry Requirements

To apply for the program, applicants must meet one of the following requirements:

• A Master’s degree from a UK university or equivalent, typically with a Merit or Distinction, in a subject relevant to the proposed programme of study; OR

• An Upper Second Class Honours Bachelor’s degree (2:1) from a UK university in a subject relevant to the proposed programme of study; OR

• Relevant postgraduate research or professional experience that has resulted in published works, written reports, or other suitable evidence of achievement.

Language Requirements: 

• • A minimum English proficiency of IELTS 6.5, with no skill below 6.0, or other equivalent certificates recognized by competent authorities. Read more about English language requirements: [here].

Application Documents

The program accepts applications on a rolling basis. Applicants should prepare 5 complete sets of application documents arranged in the following order:

• Application Form (standard template)
• Curriculum Vitae certified by the candidate’s employer or local authority of permanent residence (Template)
• English CV (Template)
• Scientific Resumé certified by the employer (Template)
• Notarized copy of the IELTS certificate (minimum overall score of 6.5 with no skill below 6.0) or equivalent certificates.
• Notarized copy of Bachelor’s degree and transcripts*
• Notarized copy of Master’s degree and transcripts*
• Research Proposal meeting the standards and guidelines of the University of Huddersfield found here. (Please submit 05 hard copies and 01 soft copy (PDF format) to the email address below to facilitate review by the committee).
• Statement of Purpose (SOP):

  An essay written in English (300 to a maximum of 500 words). The essay should highlight the applicant’s individuality and suitability for the research programme, addressing the following key points:

  • Reasons for wanting to pursue the study programme

  • Current research skills possessed by the applicant

  • Additional research skills the applicant wishes to develop

• 02 Academic Letters of Recommendation: Printed on official letterhead, signed, and dated. Alternatively, the applicant may provide updated contact details of the referees
• Notarized copy of National ID card (CCCD)
• Color copy of passport
• Copies of previous UK visas (if any)
• Proof of published research works (if any)
• 02 passport-sized photos (3×4 cm, taken within the past year): Full name, date of birth, and place of birth written on the back

Note: Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, as well as academic transcripts, must include a notarized English translation if originally issued in Vietnamese.
