Institute of Business Research - UEH Hosts the Workshop on Digital Economy “ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN THE DIGITAL AGE”

The workshop "Entrepreneurship in the Digital Age" was successfully held on September 26, 2022, at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), featuring two distinguished speakers, Dr. Donghyun Park and Dr. Yothin Jinjarak, from the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Both are renowned economists and researchers focusing on macroeconomics and development.

Representing UEH at the workshop were the Director of the Business Research Institute, Prof. Vo Xuan Vinh, along with numerous faculty members, doctoral candidates, and graduate students.

During the workshop, discussions centered around the topic of the digital economy, highlighting emerging perspectives on its current and future state. The speakers concurred that the ongoing digitization of the economy is creating numerous opportunities for entrepreneurs.

Dr. Donghyun Park remarked, "Digital technology eliminates entry barriers for new companies".

Dr. Yothin Jinjarak emphasized, "Digital technology is fundamentally reshaping the entrepreneurial spirit. Digitization impacts business operations both directly and indirectly".

The digital economy presents both opportunities and challenges; effectively seizing opportunities while overcoming challenges is a common imperative for every country in the coming period.
